e-learning: PostgreSQL: Getting Started
The rapid development of data driven applications and commercial web applications requiring back end data support has led to the development of sophisticated database creation and management systems. As the uptake of cloud computing develops, the drive to control cost and improve services heats up, the utilization of consumption-based services and the selection and deployment of freeware applications has gained increasing popularity. PosgreSQL is a fully function RDBMS incorporating database cluster support and replication. Available as a multi-platform application, PostgreSQL can be downloaded, installed and operating as an RDBMS in a relatively short timespan. This course covers the installation and configuration of PostgreSQL, and the fundamentals of PosgreSQL SQL language support, as well as the configuration, administration and development of the supporting databases and tables.
PostgreSQL Database Fundamentals Part #1 (3 Hours, 8 Minutes)
The course covers the downloading, installation and configuration of the PostgreSQL RDBMS. In addition, the course discusses the key PostgreSQL DDL and DML SQL commands, and the deployment of various PostgreSQL table constraints.
PostgreSQL Database Fundamentals Part #2 (2 Hours, 43 Minutes)
